BJP Nagaland Hosts Independence Day Motorcycle Rally in Kohima

Kohima: BJP members revved engines in Kohima today. The party organized a two-wheeler rally to mark 80 years of Indian independence. They called the event the Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra.

Higher Education and Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along flagged off the riders at Eco Park. He stood alongside Er Kropol Vitsu, Advisor for Prisons and Printing and Stationery, and NSMDC chairman Kuputo Shohe. Numerous other dignitaries joined the starting line.

Along addressed the crowd before the bikes departed. He emphasized the national significance of the event. "On the 80th Independence Day commemoration, Nagaland also participates in the amplification of honoring our nation with this tricolour being the symbol of national integration, tricolour being the symbol of our pride, tricolour being the symbol of our very own citizen or being a citizen of the nation."

He urged every state citizen to carry the flag with pride. Eduzu Theluo, who serves as the BJP state vice president and convenor of the Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra Committee, stated that the rally aims to boost patriotism and pay respect to the national flag.

Seventy-eight two-wheelers joined the ride. The convoy looped from Eco Park to the New Secretariat and eventually circled back to the starting point.

Minister Along added a caution for participants during the event. He told the crowd to handle the national flags with care and keep them off the ground. He asked citizens to preserve the flags properly by taking them home for display or returning them instead of leaving them behind as litter once the festivities end.
