Guwahati: Bajali district administration launched a deep dive into local government projects. District Commissioner Madhumita Bhagawati chairs the District Development Committee meetings at her office from November 2 to November 5, 2026. The sessions cover work from the Health, Education, PNRD, Agriculture, Transport, PWD, and Sports departments.

Officials split these departments into four distinct categories for a systematic assessment. Attendees include the District Development Officer, Additional District Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and various department heads. They want to fix bottlenecks and hit project deadlines. The goal is simple: ensure government initiatives actually reach the people without stalls.

Bhagawati pushed her staff to finish pending work. She demanded better communication between agencies to speed up public services. "She also called for better coordination among departments and directed officials to focus on timely execution and improved delivery of public services." This review provides the administration with a clear map of current progress and highlights where they must step in to force results.
