Assam Teacher Accused of Hiring Proxy and Harassment

Guwahati: A science teacher at Jamari JBK Middle English School in Assam's Nagaon district is under fire. Habibur Rahman allegedly hired an unauthorized woman to cover his teaching duties while he remained absent. Video footage recently surfaced showing the woman instructing students in his place.

The situation turned ugly. The woman filed a formal complaint at the Batadrava police station accusing Rahman of harassment. She claimed he lured her to his home under false pretenses. "She alleged that he called her to his residence and attempted to assault her when no one else was present." She managed to escape the encounter.

School officials appear clueless. The headmaster claims he does not know who the woman is. Even stranger, the woman reportedly could not name the school where she had been teaching. Police are currently investigating these allegations regarding the school's handling of staff duties and the unauthorized instruction of students.
