Guwahati: Education Minister Ranoj Pegu met with the Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan on July 23 at Janata Bhawan to evaluate the state school network. The meeting focused on 57 CBSE-affiliated English-medium schools currently running across Assam. Public Works Department crews are handling all ongoing civil construction at these sites.
The government intends to grow this flagship network by commissioning new locations. Officials will also add Senior Secondary sections to 13 existing campuses. These schools recently hit a 90 per cent pass rate in the HSLC examination. Success is high. Pegu credited the staff and local communities for the results.
"This reflects the dedication of our teachers, students, school managements and all stakeholders," Pegu said. The state aims to keep pushing for better infrastructure. Expansion remains the main goal for the Department.
