Guwahati: Education Minister Ranoj Pegu opened a dedicated registration portal for the Assam School Hackathon on September 19. This platform allows students to sign up for the state-wide competition. Any student currently enrolled in Class 6 through Class 12 is eligible to enter. Teams may include up to five members.

Participants must select one of the 12 themes available on the site. The hackathon aims to spark creativity and sharpen problem-solving skills among young learners. It pushes kids to build innovative solutions through collaborative work. Pegu expects the initiative to provide a direct platform for these students to showcase their ideas. As noted by the ministry, the goal is to promote "innovative ideas and solutions" while building team skills.
