Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wants the country to go all-in on artificial intelligence. On Diwali, Sarma noted a major shift in how citizens celebrate. Past years saw people mindlessly forwarding generic WhatsApp banners. This year, many used ChatGPT and other AI applications to build their own custom holiday greetings.

The designs were not always perfect. That hardly matters. Sarma argued that the shift proves just how powerful and accessible these new tools have become. People should adopt the tech for personal gain and national growth. He said, "Let’s embrace AI for our own good and for the nation."

The Chief Minister also challenged the younger generation to step up. He wants people to introduce older relatives to these platforms. He believes there is a world of potential beyond just watching YouTube or scrolling through reels. Sarma wrapped up his message on X by extending formal Diwali greetings to the public.
