Ambulance Driver Stabbed During Silchar Hospital Parking Dispute

Guwahati: A parking dispute turned bloody at Silchar Medical College and Hospital on July 31. Ambulance driver Raju Kar suffered serious stab wounds after an argument with fellow driver Bappu Laskar escalated into a physical fight. The attacker used a sharp weapon to strike Kar five or six times. The incident shook the hospital grounds.

Security guards rushed to intervene as the confrontation spiraled. Several guards sustained injuries during the struggle. Doctors admitted Kar to the hospital for emergency care where he remains in serious condition. Police arrived shortly after to restore order and took Laskar into custody.

The violence drew a crowd, including members of the Bajrang Dal. The group arrived on-site and demanded officials take strict legal action against the accused. Authorities have launched an investigation into the stabbing. Police stated, "Police reached the spot, brought the situation under control and arrested the accused."
