Kohima: Volunteers participating in The Himalayan Cleanup 2026 in Dimapur have identified alcohol and pan masala packaging as the most common types of waste found in the city. The findings surfaced during a waste audit conducted on May 30, which focused on the environmental impact of consumer products on local areas.

Participants worked to collect and segregate discarded items to better understand the composition of local litter. The audit results highlighted a significant concentration of waste from specific tobacco and beverage brands, raising concerns about the prevalence of such products in the local environment.
