Guwahati: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad accused the Congress party of inciting political chaos on October 14. During a press conference held in Silchar, ABVP national secretary Kamlesh Singh claimed the party is working alongside foreign entities to spark conditions similar to the instability seen in Bangladesh and Nepal.
Singh stated that rejected political leaders are attempting to manufacture unrest. He alleged that these figures joined hands with external forces to push an agenda against the state. The group provided no evidence to back these claims.
The ABVP maintains its members are staying clear of the ongoing protests in Delhi. Singh insisted that students affiliated with his organization are focused on their careers and education rather than political agitation. He addressed the current climate, noting, "Indian citizens and students were aware of what he described as anti-national activities and would respond appropriately at the right time."
The organization views these alleged activities as a threat to national stability. Singh warned that the public will eventually hold those responsible for the supposed unrest accountable.
