Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland Holds Tribal Dimki Session at Gaili Village

Kohima: The Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland gathered in Peren district on September 4 for a Dimki session. They met at Gaili village. The assembly drew village council chairmen, Gaon Buras, and veteran leaders. Representatives from the ZB (AMN), NZPO, ZCN, LCN, RCN, ZMO, ZSUN, and ZYON filled the room.

President K. Francis Zeliang led the discussion. He pushed for stronger community unity and the protection of traditional Zeliangrong lands. He told the assembly, "meaningful and constructive participation" is necessary for the people. K. Elu Ndang spoke as the guest of honor. He noted that village chairmen hold the keys to local growth.

The group spent the session debating issues affecting the tribe across state and national borders. Artists Thoidambo Nring and Ilungpetle provided entertainment. This meeting marked the first Dimki of the 2026 to 2029 tenure. Deputy speaker Irangtalakpe closed the event with a vote of thanks. Chaplain Bangdi Haikube offered the final benediction.
