Two Injured After Car Slams Into School Wall in Cachar

Guwahati: A car lost control and smashed into a school boundary wall on the Barkhola-Kashipur road in Cachar district on the afternoon of July 23. The crash left two people injured. One victim is in critical condition. An Alto with the registration number ML-05 T-8439 triggered the wreck.

Local residents rushed to help. They pulled the victims from the wreckage as chaos erupted on the roadside. The impact left the vehicle heavily damaged. Marupa Ferdous, 18, of Chandpur, suffered serious injuries. Medical staff at the Barkhola Primary Health Centre treated her first. Doctors then ordered her transfer to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for advanced care. The second injured person remains under medical supervision.

Officers from Barkhola Police Station arrived soon after the collision to secure the site. Police seized the car and began a formal probe into the crash. Authorities suspect the driver simply lost control. Investigators are still working to determine the exact sequence of events. Local witnesses said the incident occurred suddenly as the vehicle veered off the road.
