Family Demands Probe Into Assam Man's Mysterious Tamil Nadu Death

Guwahati: Haris Ali died in Tamil Nadu under strange circumstances. The 42-year-old hailed from Frenchnagar village in the Dholai constituency of Cachar district. His family believes he was murdered. They want the truth.

His mother and elder brother, Aris Uddin, pushed for a full inquiry into the death. They pointed suspicion toward his wife, Sumi Begum, though no proof exists yet. The family demands that authorities expose the events that led to his end.

The body arrived home five days after he passed. Local residents held funeral prayers at the Laylapur Bazar Jama Masjid. Hundreds attended the service. Laylapur Police stood by to pay their respects.

The family thanked Nazir Uddin, a member of Group No. 9 of the Channighat Gaon Panchayat, for bringing the remains back. As the family awaits answers, they stated, "His death was not natural." Official investigators must now determine if a crime occurred.
