Agartala: The Tripura government has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Ramakrishna Mission to launch the Ramakrishna Mission Foreign Language School and Centre for Human Excellence. The project aims to improve local skill development and career opportunities by providing globally relevant language training.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the signing ceremony in Agartala alongside Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma and other officials. The institution will offer certificate courses in German, French, Japanese, and Spanish, as well as Sanskrit, Hindi, and Bengali. Organizers expect to train 1,000 students every year.
Beyond language instruction, the centre will promote holistic development by integrating the teachings of Swami Vivekananda into its curriculum. Planned modules include management training, self-confidence building, and cultural values. The facility will also support local students through workshops, parental motivational courses, and specialized programs for high schoolers.
Construction is set for a 15,000 square foot building in the Dhaleswar area of Agartala. The modern campus will feature language laboratories, smart classrooms, a library, and a meditation hall. Officials believe this initiative aligns with India's Act East Policy, positioning Tripura to meet the rising demand for skilled labor in sectors like tourism, technology, and hospitality.
