Agartala: Tripura has officially partnered with the Ramakrishna Mission in Agartala to launch the first Ramakrishna Mission School of Languages in Northeast India. Announced by Chief Minister Manik Saha on June 2, the project also includes the creation of a Centre for Human Excellence to foster youth development and educational growth.

The new language school will provide instruction in Hindi, Sanskrit, and Bengali. Students will also have access to courses in foreign languages such as German, French, and Spanish. To support these programs, the Centre for Human Excellence will feature smart classrooms, language laboratories, a computer training facility, and a dedicated meditation hall.

Chief Minister Saha stated that the initiative aims to equip local youth with the necessary skills to compete in both domestic and international job markets. The project is designed to bridge the gap between current education standards and the requirements of a rapidly evolving global workforce.

The facility will start with an initial cohort of 100 students at the existing Ramakrishna Mission campus on Gangail Road. Plans for a permanent campus in Dhaleswar are already underway, which officials expect will eventually accommodate up to 1,000 students every year.

The signing ceremony included Principal Subhakarnananda Maharaj, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, and several other government officials. This collaboration builds on the long history of the Ramakrishna Mission in promoting value-based learning throughout India.
