Agartala: The Tripura government signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ramakrishna Mission in Agartala on Tuesday to establish the state's first dedicated foreign language training center. This partnership seeks to improve employment prospects for local youths and address communication barriers they often encounter when traveling or working outside the region.
Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted that many residents struggle with language differences both within India and in international settings. By providing structured training, the government aims to give students the confidence to navigate diverse professional and educational environments. Previously, students had to travel to cities like Kolkata to access these specialized courses, leading to significant personal expenses and logistical challenges.
The new institution will offer certificate programs in widely spoken global languages including German, French, Japanese, and Spanish. It will also provide instruction in Indian languages, such as Sanskrit, Hindi, and Bengali. The state government has committed to providing the necessary infrastructure and administrative support to ensure the school's success.
The agreement was formalized in the presence of Skill Development Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, Director of Skill Development Pradeep K, and Ramakrishna Mission Agartala Secretary Swami Shubhakarananda.
