Tripura Minister Greenlights 24 Crore Batisata Development Project

Agartala: Tripura Minister Sudhangshu Das met with district officials at the Belonia Circuit House on August 25. He spent the day evaluating the Fisheries, Animal Resources Development, and Scheduled Caste Welfare departments. The minister reviewed all spending from the previous financial year and checked the status of current projects. He wants results. Officials must spend state and central funds within strict deadlines to ensure help reaches the right people.

Das demanded more field visits from staff. He also told elected representatives to keep a closer watch on local work. Coordination is the key to success. During the session, Das announced a new plan for Batisata in Rajnagar. The state will transform 96 kani of land into a recreational hub featuring a waterbody, a children park, log huts, and boating facilities. The project carries an estimated price tag of Rs 24.21 crore.

The minister confirmed he was pleased with the recent progress across South Tripura. He pushed for better teamwork between government leaders and department heads to keep the momentum going. "Das directed officials to ensure that funds allocated under Central and state government schemes are used properly and within the prescribed timeframe, so that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries without delays."
