Agartala: Tripura is set to undergo a major industrial transformation aimed at strengthening the state economy and creating new jobs. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha recently shared this vision during a meeting of the Investment Promotion Agency of Tripura at the Civil Secretariat, emphasizing that growth will reach beyond urban hubs to include remote and tribal regions.
Industries and Commerce Secretary Kiran Gitte presented a roadmap focused on attracting private investment and highlighting the state as a prime business destination. Officials explored various proposals for new industrial units, placing a heavy focus on the state's natural bounty. The government intends to utilize local rubber, bamboo, and tea production to fuel sustainable and long term industrial projects.
The administration remains committed to a balanced approach that pairs commercial expansion with environmental responsibility. Government leaders, including Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma and Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, participated in the discussions to finalize plans for a more business-friendly climate. Dr. Saha confirmed that the state will continue working to ensure that this push for development remains inclusive for all residents.
