Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha recently highlighted the essential role of cricket in fostering discipline, leadership, and teamwork among the state's youth. During an event where he distributed cricket kits to young players, he emphasized that the sport serves as a powerful platform for national unity that brings together people from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Saha noted that success on the field relies on collective effort rather than individual talent, reflecting the broader value of coordination in society. He expressed optimism regarding Tripura's sporting future, pointing to the state's growing track record of producing gifted athletes.

To support this talent, the Chief Minister confirmed that development plans for a dedicated cricket academy are moving forward, with land already secured for the site. He added that the government is actively monitoring the progress of a new cricket stadium to ensure the project meets its scheduled completion date.

The distribution initiative provided 108 cricket kits to players and institutions across the state. This project was made possible through a collaboration between the Tripura Cricket Association and the State Bank of India under its corporate social responsibility program.
