Kohima: Transport advisor Temjenmenba is rallying local support. He wants grassroots activists to solidify the regional political front. The advisor spoke at a recent event in Waromung village. The gathering coincided with preparations for the 100th anniversary of the Ao Students Conference.
New NPF party officials took oaths at the meeting. Aodangnok Ozukum, president of the 29 Jangpetkong assembly constituency, oversaw the ceremonies. He told the new inductees their commitment holds real weight. "It was not a mere utterance of words but a sacred vow to adhere to party principles, work for the people’s interests and remain loyal to the party flag and high command," said Ozukum.
Temjenmenba addressed the state of the roads. Residents have suffered through poor conditions for years. The Chief Minister has now approved funds to fix the damage. Work starts soon.
The advisor also pushed for a unified regional voice. He argued that splitting loyalties between the NDPP and NPF hurts the Naga people. By merging, the two groups aim to protect local interests under one banner. Temjenmenba noted that his strength depends entirely on the backing of the voters. Party members praised the recent merger and reaffirmed their support for the current leadership.
