NIT Manipur Opens Applications for Faculty and Director Roles

Imphal: The National Institute of Technology Manipur is seeking applicants for teaching and administrative vacancies throughout 2026. The school wants to fill seven Assistant Professor Grade-II roles. These spots sit at level 10 pay scales.

Openings span several departments. Candidates can apply for roles in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mathematics. Applicants must follow the rules set by the Government of India and the Ministry of Education. Full details reside on the official school website at http://www.nitmanipur.ac.in.

One Deputy Director position is also up for grabs. Only senior faculty members from within the institute may apply for this spot. Applicants need at least five years of experience as a professor. They must also have spent at least two years serving as a Head of Department or Dean. The institute mandates that the chosen candidate must be an "eminent person in his / her field of specialization with an outstanding academic record throughout." No applicant can be older than 60.

Assistant Professor hopefuls must submit forms via the online portal at www.nitmanipur.ac.in. The deadline is 11:59 pm on 31st July 2026. Deputy Director candidates must mail their physical application packets to the Director at the Imphal campus by the same July 31, 2026 deadline. These packets must include copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials verified by a Department Head.
