NIT Agartala Seeks Junior Research Fellow for Diabetes Tech Project

Agartala: The National Institute of Technology Agartala is hiring. One Junior Research Fellow slot is open for a 2026 project. The role focuses on a machine learning assisted wearable sensor. This device aims for real-time detection of acetone in the ear canal to aid diabetes monitoring.

Selected researchers earn 37,000 rupees monthly. Applicants must hold an M.Sc in Physics or Applied Physics. A BS-MS in Physics, a BT-MT in Engineering Physics, or an M.Sc or M.Tech in Nanotechnology or Material Science also qualifies. You need a valid GATE or NET score. Experience with sensor and nanomaterial synthesis is preferred.

Dr. Suvra Prakash Mondal from the Department of Physics is leading the process. Interested candidates must email their signed documents by July 24, 2026.
