SCTE-K Honors Outgoing Principal Dr. Elizabeth Walling

Kohima: The State College of Teacher Education in Kohima held a farewell ceremony for Principal Dr. Elizabeth Walling on July 31. Faculty, non-teaching staff, and students gathered on campus to mark the occasion. The event honored her years of service and leadership at the school.

Anisha Himb chaired the program. Dr. Runi Nakro spoke for the teaching faculty, detailing the milestones and institutional progress achieved under Walling's watch. Attendees described her as humble and kind. They noted that she cared for the institution throughout her time in office.

Student-teachers performed a musical tribute during the event. Rose Mary Achumi led the invocation, and Dr. Khriezonuo Belho provided the benediction. Speakers from every department praised her professional expertise and integrity.

Dr. Walling addressed the crowd to close out her tenure. She shared her history as an educator and thanked the college community for their backing. "Reflected on her journey as an educator and expressed gratitude to the faculty, staff, and students for their support and cooperation during her time at the college," she said during her final address.
