RIMS Dental College Takes Top Honors at National Oral Health Conference

Imphal: RIMS Dental College in Imphal grabbed first prize at the World Oral Health Celebration Contest. The win came during the 47th National Conference of the Indian Society of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, held in New Delhi from September 21 to 23. The event drew paediatric dentists, researchers, and students from every corner of the country to trade notes on child dentistry.

Dr. Wairokpam Bhoomika Devi, head of the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, accepted the award. She steered the credit toward the leadership at RIMS. She noted, "The achievement to the support of RIMS Director Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Medical Superintendent Prof. Nepram Sanjib Singh and Principal, Dental College, RIMS, Prof. B. Praveen Reddy." Devi also thanked the college staff and students for the team effort.

The conference hosted the ISPPD NEST initiative. This program links dentists across the North East to boost regional oral healthcare. Representatives handed over the official NEST Report to ISPPD leaders during the three-day meeting.
