Phelem Konyak Receives National Change Maker’s Award 2026

Kohima: Phelem Konyak, known as Tabitha Na-am Konyak, took home the National Change Maker’s Award 2026. Organizers handed her the trophy in Vadodara, Gujarat. She earned the nod for grassroots social work. Her efforts reach the most vulnerable.

Samanway Pratishthan teamed up with the India Foundation to host the ceremony. Konyak runs the Naam Academy and Learning Centre in Jahjon Ward, Mon town. She started the group as Naam Ministry in 2022. It provides free education, food, shelter, and basic care for children in need.

Her academy serves kids from remote communities near the India-Myanmar border. The award recognizes her dedication to humanitarian service. According to a press release, Konyak was honoured for "her grassroots social work and service to underprivileged communities."
