Imphal: Imphal marked the 94th Indian Air Force Day at the MPP Hall, NCC Imphal, GP HQ. The event honored the service established in 1932. October 8 remains a day to pay tribute to those who served the nation. The 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC Imphal organized the program under the theme Infallible, Impervious and Precise.
Khumukcham Joykisan Singh, MLA of Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency, addressed the crowd. He asked students to draw inspiration from the military. He described the profession as a life of discipline, honour, adventure and selfless service. Joykisan recognized the force for its work in major conflicts, disaster response, and evacuation operations.
Wing Commander Mutum Sandip Singh praised the air warriors. He noted that the Indian Air Force has kept pace with changing operational requirements by using modern technology. He said, "The Indian Air Force has continuously adapted to changing operational requirements through modern technology and innovation while upholding the values of integrity, service and excellence."
The program featured cultural dances, songs, and historical videos. Brigadier Vikrant Kulkarni and Group Captain Binoy Chongtham attended alongside Nancy Sharma of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Khumbong. Officers, veterans, staff, and cadets filled the hall to salute the personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice.
