Shillong: Rilbong turns 100 this year. The community kicks off a massive celebration starting October 2 to honor a century of history. Events run through the month with a mix of sport and local culture.

Formal festivities begin October 15. Organizers will honor 25 individuals from various communities for their work in shaping Shillong. These people will receive recognition posthumously for their significant contributions to the evolution of Shillong over the past century. Organizers confirmed the plans Friday, noting that the schedule captures the spirit of the area since its establishment.
