Shillong: Nikhil Biswa Juba Akhanda Sangathan hosted a spiritual program called Matri Bandana—The Akhanda Ideal at the Jail Road Durga Puja Mandap. The event took place recently in Shillong. It ran alongside the Durga Utsav celebrations.
Organizers included the Nikhil Bharat Akhanda Seba Dal and the Shillong Akhanda Mandoli of Ayachak Ashram. They focused on youth empowerment, character building, and general human welfare. The program leaned heavily on the teachings of Swami Swarupananda Paramahansha Dev, also known as Sri Sri Babamani, who started the Ayachak Ashrama.
The stage saw devotional music and cultural performances. Speakers covered self-reliance, self-discipline, and the dignity of women. Organizers aimed to connect younger people with selfless service. The event drew inspiration from the legacy of Sri Sri Mamoni and the current head of the Akhanda Sangha, Sri Sri Dadamoni. Organizers said the initiative aims to "encourage the youth to transform devotion into positive action and personal integrity."
