Red Cross Delivers Aid to Rilbong Fire Victims

Shillong: The Indian Red Cross Society Meghalaya State Branch stepped in Monday to help families hit by a fire on Rilbong Zigzag Road in Laban. Staff handed out essential supplies to get those families back on their feet. The aid packages included tarpaulins, blankets, toiletries, kitchen sets, and cooking utensils.

General Secretary Andrew N. Sawian led the relief team. East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal and Additional Deputy Commissioner D. Kharshiing watched the distribution alongside local well-wishers. The victims showed their appreciation for the help. The beneficiaries "expressed their gratitude to the Indian Red Cross Society for its support and kind gesture."
