Protests erupted at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and spread across the country. Students demanded accountability for the systemic failure.
Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi praised the students for their persistence. He labeled the resignation a win for the democratic movement. Gandhi posted on X, "Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation is a huge step towards reshaping our education system. Well done to students across the country; we are proud of all of you."
Gandhi insists the fight is not over yet. Two demands remain on the table. He wants Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologize to the nation for examination failures. He also demands strict action against those who committed violence against students during recent protests.
In a video address, Gandhi encouraged laborers, farmers, and the poor to stand up to the current administration. He told the public to remain fearless. "Let's get rid of this regime that is attacking India, destroying our Constitution and capturing all our institutions," Gandhi declared.
