Guwahati: Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain returned to the Sports Authority of India center in Guwahati on Wednesday, August 5. She called the facility her second home. This site hosted the start of her boxing career. She noted massive improvements since she first arrived, pointing to a new boxing hall and hotel facilities as evidence of a shift in the region's sports potential.

Borgohain recently made headlines for confronting a restaurant in Glasgow, Scotland, over an incorrect map of India printed on paper napkins. She refused to stay quiet. The boxer stated, "I am feeling very good. This is like my second home. This is where I started, and my life changed here. There is always a room for me, so I come here whenever I want." She emphasized that ignoring the error would only invite future mistakes, noting that the Indian Embassy intervened and forced the restaurant to correct the graphic.

She maintained her composure during the confrontation to ensure her message was heard clearly. She did not want to lose her temper. Borgohain is now shifting her focus toward the Asian Games. She aims for a gold medal after securing silver during her last appearance. She believes the Northeast region will keep churning out top-tier athletic talent for years to come.
