Manipur Chief Minister Backs Boxer Jadumani Singh for 2026 Asian Games

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh met silver medalist Jadumani Singh Mandengbam on Wednesday, August 5. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal. The Chief Minister congratulated the boxer on his Commonwealth Games success. He pushed for a gold medal win at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.

Khemchand Singh praised the state’s long history of sporting excellence. He told the athlete that the government would provide full support for his career. Several officials attended the event, including Uripok MLA Kh. Raghumani Singh, Sports Secretary N. Praveen Singh, and SP (Sports) L. Sarita Devi.

Jadumani Singh felt inspired by the talk. He asked the public for their ongoing support and well wishes as he prepares for his next tournament. “The interaction had further strengthened his determination to perform well in future competitions,” the athlete noted after the meeting.
