Kohima: The Inner Line Regulation Commission of the Naga Students' Federation claims it ran a transparent, inclusive process regarding new regulations in Nagaland. Officials stated they provided every group a fair shot to voice opinions. They issued official notices to non-local organizations to ensure broad participation.
The commission wrapped up talks with the Marwari Samaj, the Muslim Council, and the Bengali Samaj on June 13. They moved fast. Any group that ignored the invitation or skipped the meetings cannot now complain about being left out. The commission puts the blame squarely on those who stayed away.
The federation expects groups to show up and do the work. "Meaningful dialogue is founded on participation rather than commentary after the fact," the commission stated. Silence does not wreck the legitimacy of their work.
Staff will keep grinding. They plan to build final recommendations based solely on the input from those who actually sat at the table. If an organization passed on the chance to speak, they should not expect a redo later.
