Imphal: The NSCN/GPRN officially shut down reports of a joint military operation with the ZUF (Jenchui) faction. The denial came via a press release from the group’s Ministry of Information and Publicity on November 5. It targeted rumors spreading across social media and regional outlets. The group branded the allegations as entirely imaginary.

The dispute centers on territory labeled as Southern Nagaland and Naga-inhabited regions within Manipur. This area covers the Senapati, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Noney, and Kamjong districts. Officials claimed the ZUF invented these reports to hide future hostile moves. The group’s leadership stated: "The reasons behind the alleged fabrication of a joint military operation were known only to the leadership of the ZUF (Jenchui) faction."

Tensions remain high. The NSCN/GPRN vowed to retaliate if provoked. It rejected the narrow outlook of the ZUF, favoring a long-term political strategy instead. While the group claims it wants brotherly relations, it ruled out ties with entities pushing hidden agendas. It remains committed to unity as long as its political core is protected.
