Kohima: The Naga People’s Front Central Minority Wing gathered at the Dimapur Division Office on July 22, 2026, for a coordination and orientation meeting. The session kicked off at 2 p.m. to tighten organizational links across the Dimapur and Chümoukedima divisions.
Leaders from Dimapur I, II, and III, as well as Ghaspani I and II, joined party officials to debate strategy. They focused on membership growth and better internal discipline. The meeting served as a forum for presidents to air grievances and pitch ideas to fix party operations at the local level.
Central Minority Wing President Bishnu Bhattacharjee championed the role of minority voters in the party. He reaffirmed the group’s backing for Chief Minister and NPF President Dr. Neiphiu Rio and Secretary General Achumbemo Kikon. NPF Central Vice President and Central Minority Wing in-charge N R Zeliang demanded unity from the room. He urged all assembly and division officials to "maintain coordination and cooperation."
Dimapur Division President Vihoshe Awomi pledged his support for the wing’s efforts. Joining him were NPF Central Youth Wing Vice President Neitho Khusoh and DMC member Mahesh Agarwal. Both men echoed the need for stronger grassroots outreach. The wing wrapped up the day with a firm commitment to hold regular activities to keep the party energized.
