Kohima: Workshops for the NITI TARA initiative finished in Nagaland on July 17 and 18. The events took place in the Kiphire Aspirational District and Khongsa Aspirational Block. These sessions focused on improving how officials handle data to plan and monitor local development.
Takatemjen Pongen, the nodal officer for Kiphire, led the district workshop. Aspirational Block Fellow Ningsangwu chaired the session in Khongsa. Rajesh Mandal from EdCIL Guwahati acted as the resource person for both meetings. A video message from NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer Nidhi Chhibber kicked off the programming. She told the group, "The NITI TARA initiative and its Toolkits for Analysis, Review and Action, which are designed to support data-driven planning, monitoring and decision-making in aspirational districts and blocks."
Participants from various departments gathered to work on analysis and action planning. They identified gaps in local development and set new strategies for governance. Officials promised to use these tools in their daily planning work. They plan to keep working with NITI TARA facilitators for ongoing technical support and training.
