NEHU Tura and KV NEPA Announce New Job Openings in Meghalaya

Shillong: North Eastern Hill University in Tura is hunting for a Junior Research Fellow for a project focused on Sohiong fruit. The Department of Biotechnology is funding this work, which aims at the development of vegetative propagation and probiotic powder. Dr. R. Sasikumar, an associate professor in Agribusiness Management and Food Technology, leads the team. Candidates need a first-class master's degree in food technology, biotechnology, or a related field. Experience with equipment like HPLC and FT-IR or knowledge of FSSAI and BIS standards will give applicants an edge.

Interested researchers must email their CV and documents to Dr. Sasikumar by August 9, 2026. The department will contact those who make the cut for an interview on August 14 at 11:30 AM. Dr. Sasikumar noted the project requires specific expertise, stating, "Applications are invited for recruitment of various research based positions or jobs in NEHU Tura Meghalaya in 2026."

Meanwhile, the PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya at NEPA Barapani is filling teaching spots. They need a PGT for Mathematics and a Yoga Instructor. Math applicants must hold a postgraduate degree with at least 50 percent marks and a B.Ed. Yoga instructors need a graduation degree and a year of specialized training.

The school is skipping the application paperwork. Candidates should show up for a walk-in interview on August 10 between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM at the school in Ri-Bhoi district. Bring your original certificates, photocopies, and two passport-size photos to the site at Umsaw, Barapani.
