Shillong: North-Eastern Hill University and IIM Shillong are hunting for new talent. These institutions have opened recruitment for research and coordination roles in Meghalaya for 2026. Deadlines are fast approaching.
NEHU Shillong is hiring for two roles within the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. They need one Junior Research Fellow and one Research Associate to support a government-funded project regarding soybean-based functional foods. Prof. S.R. Joshi is the Principal Investigator. Candidates for the fellow post need a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Life Sciences, with NET preference. The associate role requires a doctoral degree in the same fields. Interested applicants must mail their files to the department by 10 August 2026.
IIM Shillong also launched a search for three project staff members. The school needs one Project Coordinator and two Field Investigators. The coordinator earns Rs. 45,000 monthly. This person will manage project planning, stakeholder coordination, and reporting. Applicants need a Master’s degree in Management or Rural Development. Local language skills are a plus.
The two Field Investigator roles pay Rs. 34,000 monthly. These staff will handle data collection, field visits, and community engagement. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences or Management. Fresh graduates with field experience are welcome. All interested parties must email their CVs to info@iimshillong.ac.in by 5:00 PM on 7 August 2026. Only selected candidates will get an invite for an interview. Regarding the recruitment process, the institute noted, "Only shortlisted candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be invited for the interview."
