Shillong: Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik wants a full debate in Parliament on the NEET paper leak. The Odisha Leader of Opposition made the demand on Sunday. He says the government must also start a dialogue with students who have spent days protesting.
Patnaik posted his concerns on X. He warned that frequent leaks break the public trust in India's education system. The issue impacts millions of children who rely on these tests for their future. He noted that the damage goes deeper than a single failed exam. "It shatters faith in the very foundation of education system," Patnaik said.
The BJD leader insisted that officials must fix accountability for these failures. He argued that lawmakers need to pursue reforms to prevent future leaks and flawed assessments. The country cannot compromise its examination integrity without hurting its own future.
Patnaik urged the Centre to stop ignoring the peaceful demonstrators. He believes the government must provide a platform for young people to air their views. He stated, "Politics aside, I urge the government to initiate a meaningful dialogue with the students who have been peacefully protesting for days." The party remains in full support of the students across the country.
