Kohima: Nagaland University officials agreed to let 367 students inspect their answer scripts and request re-evaluation. This move follows a July 27 meeting between university leadership and the All Nagaland College Students’ Union. The deal addresses issues arising from the recent Four-Year Undergraduate Programme exam results.
These 367 students previously lacked the 20% minimum mark required for a re-check. Some students earned only single-digit scores. The union submitted a formal appeal on July 22, 2026, to fix the issue. Now, the university will bypass that rule. The agreement states: “In the event that a student is not satisfied with the tabulation or award of marks after verification of the answer script, he or she shall be allowed to apply for re-evaluation, notwithstanding the existing eligibility criterion,” according to the union.
Affected students must act fast. They have two days to turn in their names and roll numbers to their college student councils. These councils will then forward the data to Imnawabang T Lkr, the Assistant General Secretary, at 8794280962. The union will manage the list and help coordinate with the university.
The university also addressed errors in result transcripts. Some colleges reported wrong Minor subjects for their students. Those colleges now have one month to submit corrections. Students should contact their schools immediately to ensure these records get updated.
