Kohima: Nagaland’s Department of Social Welfare gathered senior supervisors and staff at the Capital Convention Center in Kohima on July 31. The meeting aimed to close management gaps and boost service delivery for various welfare programs. Experts led sessions on Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, along with the Aadhaar Enrolment Agency and PMMVY. Training also covered the Poshan Tracker, Pankhuti Portal, and iGOT Karmayogi Portal.
Secretary Limawabang Jamir told officials to fix operational flaws and bridge the gap between district leaders and field staff. He demanded they act as mentors for frontline staff. "Provide robust mentorship to frontline foot soldiers," Jamir said. He told them to master all online applications to support Anganwadi Workers effectively.
Director Tosheli Zhimomi demanded better data collection and strict punctuality. She expects seamless communication between field teams, district administrations, and superiors. Field presence is mandatory for the staff. Joint Director Imkozenla chaired the opening session, while Assistant Director Asangla Jamir led the invocation. Additional Director T Aoakhum Longchar closed the event, which covered programs under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, and the National Social Assistance Programme.
