Kohima: The Nagaland Science Mission is hunting for local solutions. The agency issued a call for research and development proposals today to tackle specific problems across the state. They want scientists to focus on science and technology applications that produce real results for the region.
Indigenous Naga researchers, engineers, and technologists can apply. Eligible candidates must work at universities, registered societies, or research institutions with existing infrastructure. The mission will limit grant funds to laboratory supplies and minor equipment. Projects cannot run longer than two years.
A Technical Expert Committee holds the power. They will rank projects based on the merit of submitted reports. As the official notice put it, "The committee's decision will be final and binding."
Applicants need the official format and guidelines to proceed. These are available at the Nagaland Science Mission office or by emailing NSM.nagaland@gmail.com. Submissions require a hard copy with original signatures and institutional backing. Send paperwork or digital files to the Mission Director in Kohima. The clock is ticking. The deadline for all submissions is July 31.
