Kohima: Nagaland officials signed a deal with Hyderabad-based firm T-Works on Friday. The agreement aims to grow the state's small businesses through direct technical support. CEO Joginder Tanikella and Director P Tokugha Sema formalized the pact in Kohima during World MSME Day. Adviser Hekani Jakhalu oversaw the signing at the Directorate of Industries and Commerce.
The state wants to turn local goods into recognized brands. Officials hope to move beyond simple marketing to build a sustainable identity for artisans and cooperatives. This move targets both domestic and international shoppers.
Hekani Jakhalu highlighted the government's intent to bring in high-level expertise to help local startups. Jakhalu said, "The MoU with T-Works was signed on MSME Day to send a strong message that the state government is committed to bringing in top experts to support Naga MSMEs."
Deputy Secretary Chonpenthung Ezung noted the strategy involves grouping self-help groups under one umbrella. This structure will help natural and indigenous products compete in wider markets. The state remains focused on driving innovation and long-term economic growth through these partnerships.
