Kohima: Nagaland raked in more than 30 crore in Corporate Social Responsibility commitments during Tuesday's Nagaland Connect 2026 roadshow in New Delhi. The event, hosted by the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland and CSRBOX, drew heavy interest from corporate players looking to put money into the state. Officials received 15 Letters of Interest at the gathering.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio pushed attendees to see the state as a site for real opportunity instead of a place needing simple handouts. He wants companies to back local human capital, skills, and entrepreneurship. Government leaders, including Deputy Chief Ministers TR Zeliang and Y. Patton, attended the proceedings to help finalize the deals.
Rio told the crowd, "We invite partners to invest not only in projects but also in people and possibilities."
The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland now runs a single-window platform to manage these new partnerships. They want to ensure the money creates measurable impact in health, education, and infrastructure. This push is part of a wider plan to make Nagaland a go-to spot for business and development in the Northeast.
