Kohima: Nagaland walked away with 30 crore in corporate social responsibility commitments on Tuesday. The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland held the Nagaland Connect 2026 conclave at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Corporate players handed over 15 letters of intent to state leaders.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, along with deputies TR Zeliang and Y Patton, oversaw the formal signing of these agreements. Over 40 companies attended the roundtable to discuss projects across sports, healthcare, education, and environmental sectors. Rio pushed for more partnerships to boost the state economy.
The Chief Minister urged executives to look beyond simple obligations. He highlighted the state as a prime spot for growth under the Act East Policy. "Nagaland today is not merely a destination for assistance; it is a destination for opportunity," Rio said. He pointed to the new Nagaki Incubation City as a sign of progress.
IDAN now acts as a single-window portal to manage these deals. The state wants to link private cash with government schemes to build a lasting project pipeline. Rio told the crowd to look at the long game. "I encourage you not just to invest in projects, but to invest in people, aspirations and possibilities," he stated.
