Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav wants a total shift in how India teaches its youth. He spoke at the Byatikram Education Conclave 9.0 in Dimapur on June 22. Educators and students packed the room. The goal is to hit the targets of Viksit Bharat 2047. It is a tall order.

Yadav argued that schools must focus on skills, creativity, and values to survive a changing world. He views the classroom as the primary engine for national growth. The Governor pointed to the National Education Policy 2020 as the main guide for this push. He told the crowd, "Education as the most powerful instrument of transformation in the nation's journey toward achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047."

The policy demands more multidisciplinary learning and critical thinking. Teachers need to foster innovation to keep up with rapid tech changes. Students must become lifelong learners to hold their own on the world stage. India needs better, faster, and smarter training for its workers.
