Nagaland Congress Demands Reform After Nationwide Paper Leaks

Kohima: Mokokchung Congress leaders lashed out at the central government over recurring paper leaks in national competitive exams. They claim these scandals are ruining the education system and destroying the future of honest students. The District Congress Committee highlighted specific failures in major tests like NEET-UG and UGC-NET.

Nukshi I Ozukum, vice president of the DCC, noted that investigations often lead to arrests but lack real results. Accountability stays missing while scandals keep popping up. "We strongly condemn these recurring incidents and demand accountability and strict action against the individuals, organisations or institutions responsible," Ozukum said during a Wednesday press conference.

The criticism hit home on financial and emotional grounds. Imlitula Longkumer of the District Youth Congress argued that cancelled exams force families to waste savings on preparation costs. She also demanded the Union Education Ministry show where the money goes, pointing to teacher shortages and crumbling school infrastructure.

NSUI district president Asensor Jamir tied these grievances to Rahul Gandhi's student outreach efforts. He warned that students are losing faith in the entire examination structure. The party is now pushing its Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign to force transparency. They argue this fight is about the country's youth, not just scoring political points.
