Nagaland Commission Sounds Alarm on Rising Crimes Against Women and Children

Kohima: Nagaland is facing a violent trend. The Nagaland State Commission for Women reported a surge in sexual violence, harassment, and general crime targeting women and children. This situation indicates a total failure of the state's safety nets.

The commission issued a grim assessment of the situation in Dimapur on June 30. They described the rising violence as a "breakdown of the moral, social and protective fabric of society."

Action is needed now. The commission demands a unified front from civil society groups, schools, and the police. They want faith leaders and community heads to step up and stop this menace before more people get hurt.
