Kohima: Vilanuo Angela Yhome died July 31 at 8:00 a.m. She led the Naga Mothers Association since August 16, 2023. Officials are still waiting for funeral details.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton offered his condolences online. He tweeted, "Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ms. Vilanuo Angela Yhome, President of the Naga Mothers Association, this morning."
Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak praised her life of public service. Konyak called her a towering personality. Her work left a lasting mark on society.
Legislators Hekani Jakhalu and Moatoshi Longkumer also paid their respects. Jakhalu serves as Advisor for Industries and Commerce. Longkumer oversees Labour, Employment and Skill Development and Excise.
