Naga Council Dimapur Marks One Year of Leadership

Kohima: Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) leadership hit a one-year milestone on August 22. They held a thanksgiving service at the NCD office to mark the tenure running from August 22, 2025, to August 22, 2026. The work continues. Pastor Inaho Sumi of the Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church led the ceremony.

Sumi used scripture from 1 Corinthians 10:30-32 to push the leaders toward renewed dedication. He urged the council to look past local borders. "Broaden their service beyond the people of Dimapur and work for the welfare of Nagas as a whole," the pastor told the group. His words aimed to sharpen their collective focus.

The prayer session covered the NCD councillors, staff, and office bearers. It also reached out to the various federating tribal hohos and civil society organisations tied to the council. A mass prayer involving all staff and leadership ended the day.
