Kohima: North East Christian University students joined forces with Chavara Home to mark World Mental Health Day. The event took place October 10 at the Community Care Centre in Naharbarri, Dimapur. Organizers based the day on the theme: "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change."
Limi K Yeptho opened the proceedings. Nenchu Kath followed with a talk about the theme. Experts prioritized the need to lower stigma and boost care for people struggling with mental health issues. Every individual story carries weight.
Niutoli Tuccu Jamir led a discussion dubbed The Art of Coping. She showed participants practical ways to handle daily stress. A second session called Healing in Practice gave the group time for individual counseling and reflection. Sr Foustina, the Child Welfare Officer, wrapped up the day with a vote of thanks.
